Pepsi Cola is a popular soft drink throughout the world. And yet even this venerable brand was tripped up when attempting to introduce a new slogan to its various markets around the world.

When introducing the theme of 'Pepsi - The New Generation' to Japanese consumers translation errors proved rather embarrasing. The phrase Come alive, you're in the Pepsi Generation somehow became Pepsi will bring your ancestors back from the dead. Needless to say, sales of Pepsi Cola did not improve.
